Lost track of time....

So I haven't blogged in FOREVER...I loose track of time. Usually when i'm off Carter and I are playing or on the the go. Sorry for my lack in blogging...I will try to get better! Carter is now sitting up all on his own, suffering from his 3 ear infection, and growing everyday. I can't believe that he is 7 months already. I keep trying to get him to say MaMa as I keep telling Chuck this is going to be his first word. :0) Carter is very fond of his DaDa and smiles anytime Chuck talks with him. I have quite a few friends that have babies right now and we were all sitting at my house the other night, and it hit me...We are all grown up! I mean when we were younger we would all be drinking booze and having a gay old time, but we were all sitting with our children enjoying ourselves more then ever. It's amazing to see everyone growing up right around us. Ahhh I love my friends! It's hard to believe that Mason will be 2 next week. It seems like just yesterday he was born. We will be celebrating his birthday next Sunday. I will try and post pictures after the big event. Hope everyone is healthy and happy! Enjoy your week... :)

6 month photo shoot...

We had Carter's six month pictures taken Saturday and decided we should do a family picture. They turned out great!! Hope you enjoy!

Vroom, vrooooom.....

Chuck just couldn't wait for it to get warm enough to take Carter on his first four-wheeler ride. The other day was beautiful, so we headed out! Carter enjoyed the ride through the cows and he didn't seemed to mind the noise. I'm sure in a couple years he will have his own mini four-wheeler. Carter also got to meet our neighbor Jim Pedula. He wasn't sure what to think of him but didn't cry! We are so thankful the weather is starting to get nicer as we enjoy spending time outside with the animals and on the fourwheelers.

Sooo tired, must sleep.....

Carter has been really enjoying his jungle bouncer for the last month or so. The other night after having a long day at daycare (he doesn't nap well there) he was just bouncing away and I was in the kitchen getting supper ready. I looked in the living room and he wasn't moving, so I motioned to Chuck to look at him. When I walked over to him he was sleeping so I snapped a quick photo, and the result of the picture is the second photo. What a little ham!! The time change has surely worked in my favor. He will now stay up from 715-800 and get up anywhere from 6-7...which is great!!

Already 6 months.....

Carter had his 6 month checkup yesterday and he was 20 lbs. 15 oz. and 28 inches! Hes in the 95 percentile for both weight and height. Growing like a weed...I hate to brag but Dr.Reimer said he is doing a great job and hitting every milestone he needs to! YaY!!

Real food at last....

So I tried really hard to hold Carter off on the cereal until six months....but I was just dying to start feeding him, so I gave in a couple weeks early. We have only tried plain rice cereal before bed, and he LOVES it! He opens his mouth when I put the spoon towards his mouth...I love it! I also read a book on baby sign language this week and am starting to sign to Carter. The book says it takes a child a couple months to pick up, but by 8 months they should be able to sign back to you. For the next month I am signing "eat" to him everytime he eats cereal or drinks a bottle. In the months following we will be working on milk and more. My newphew Mason signs more and eat and hes 1 1/2. I think it is amazing that thier little minds understand soooo much!

It probably won't be the last....

Carter sat on his first calf this last week. It was very cute!! I'm assuming that this won't be the last calf he rides as his father has already bought him a horse :) Lets hope he is a roper and not a rough-stock rider.

Carter got to meet his newest friend, Molly Medlen, today...he loved to look at her and smile. I think we better worry in about 15 years... She is very precious and we can't wait to watch the two grow up together!

Healthy at last!!

It has been quite along time since I last blogged...Carter's RSV got pretty bad, and I didn't have much time to do anything but love and take care of the little bug! After nebulizers, steroids, and Rocephin (antibiotic shot) we made it through. Boy that sure is scary when your little one is that sick and you can't do much for them (and I am a nurse). I can't imagine having a sick child all the time with something real serious. Carter continues to amaze us everyday and do more and more. He currently enjoys holding and sucking on his toys, talking, laughing, and rolling. I'm sure before we know it he will be crawling, teething, and walking....I can't wait to start cereal with him in just a couple weeks. Time sure does fly!! Yesterday one of my best friends was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Molly. She is very precious and we kid her dad, Shawn, that she is Carter's future girlfriend. I can't wait to watch them grow up together as Jenna and I have been friends since we were born. In the pictures above Carter is wearing Mason's 1 year b-day hat that he gave us, Mason playing with Carter (They love eachother already), and Carter just lounging... We hope everyone stays healthy!!!

I am sick but still find time to stand and suck on my turtle...

I took Carter to see Dr.Reimer Monday night and we got the news that he has RSV. He had been wheezing and coughing pretty bad since Sunday...I took a listen to his lungs myself and heard wheezes so I thought we had better take him in to get a nebulizer. He seems to be in pretty good spirits, and I think he is sleeping better then me. I catch myself waking up while he is sleeping soundly to check the camera baby moniter to make sure all is "a" ok. I hope this passes quickly as I caught it pretty early!!

Happy Boy

Carter is so happy! We are truly blessed with a happy easy baby :) I am ready for the weekend to spend a little extra time with him, I hate being gone from him while i'm at work!!

Almost there....

Carter is almost sitting up!! He is getting soooo big!! :) He loves to sit up and look around...we are practicing today!

Put me in the jungle bouncy thingy....

Carter is really starting to enjoy bouncing in his jungle bouncer that cousin Mason gave us. I can remember Mason bouncing so hard in it that he would fall asleep. We were happy to take it off their hands as it looks like some fun entertainment for Carter. I can only imagine in a month or so how much he will be bouncing...just like Mase!

I love my toys....

Carter surely loves his jungle mat, especially the mirror. He gets angry if he can't get it into his mouth. :) He is still rolling over from back to stomach and he still gets angry when he can't get off his stomach. I still can't believe how good a baby he is, I am very lucky!! Enjoy these new pictures.....

Oh rolly polly ollie....

Carter began rolling from his back to his front, he loves to roll over then have US roll him back. He did this just in time for his 4 month well child check. Dr. Reimer said he was right on track and doing great. I don't mean to brag but he said that "Carter has amazed me from the beginning, he has always been wide eyed, alert to his surroundings, and a very happy baby." We of course think he's perfect, but hearing it from someone else made it so much more special!! Our little guy is growing up :( I treasure everyday I get to rock him to sleep and hold him as I know these days are limited. I used to always wish "i can't wait til he sleeps through the night...." now I just wish it would SLOW down!! Hmm...it won't let me post a picture so I will try later!

The drool has started....

Carter has really begun sucking on things and drooling. He is getting his 4 month shots on Monday :( bummer...but it's all for the best.

Heading out for a winter stroll...i loved it so much!!

Carter, Jaxon, Judson headed out for a morning walk with Amy Jo. We are so thankful to have found a wondeful family sitter for Carter, and it looks like if these boys may stir some trouble when they get older like their fathers!

A Very Busy and Bad Blogger!!

okay so it has been almost 2 months since I have last blogged. It seems as if all of my free-time is tied up spending time with my gorgeous little boy!! I'm going to try to put more pictures up and write less, then maybe I will keep up!! One of the blogs that I read is going to try to post a picture a day...i'm not thinking I can be that good but I will try my hardest to put some up every week. Carter had a great first xmas and is jibbering like a Farella :0). Enjoy the new pictures of him, I can't believe he is already 3 months old!!!!
